PSA Campaign
Project 03 - ART 235
For this project, we were asked to take a nonprofit organization that is real or of our own creation and create a 3 piece print campaign. I chose the issue of parents letting their young children have too much screen time, which can hinder their development, etc.
My idea for these posters started from children being in a place to grow and experience life but being given devices that inhibit their growth and experience. I feel these posters can be seen in two different ways. One is that the children are heading to climb inside the phones and get lost in them, unable to see the nature around them. Another view is that the phone is a physical obstacle and simply blocks their path.
In the process of this project, I had the opportunity to learn more about adding shadows, making an object look more natural in a foreign picture, and successfully hiding unwanted objects.
